Police in Co Down have said nothing was found after receiving a report that a device had been left at a location in Bangor on Friday morning.
Following a number of enquiries and searches of Castle Park Avenue and the surrounding areas in the city, nothing has been found.All cordons have now been lifted in the area. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are treating a report that a device had been left in Bangor on Friday, 16th September as a hoax.
"Following the report received at 11.45am, extensive searches was carried out in Castle Park Avenue and surrounding areas. Nothing was found and enquiries into the source of the call are ongoing."
