Central England Co-op has cut prices on over 50 everyday essential products in its stores
Everyday essentials have been going up in price for weeks. However, one supermarket is now saying that it is cutting the price of 50 products in a bid to 'give back' to customers.
In September, Nottinghamshire Live reported that the price of milk at several major supermarkets had hit record prices making it more expensive than petrol per litre. At the time, National Farming Union President Minette Batters said: "Costs are rising rapidly on farms across the country."The Member discount from the Co-op, which is free and open to customers by signing up online, spans a range of essential products including cheese, tea bags, eggs and pasta sauce.
