The site has over 120 solar panels and a bike repair station to encourage cyclists
A new eco friendly store has opened its doors in Nottinghamshire. Central Co-op launched its latest store in Tuxford on Monday, July 3, with an opening event.
Local schoolchildren attended the opening as well as Newark and Tuxford Food Bank, which received a donation from the store. The Co-op says the new site has 124 solar panels, which helps provide greener alternatives for energy as a part of its long-term partnership with Sol PV Group. There is also disabled and parent parking at the new store, in addition to electric vehicle charging, as well as a bike repair station to encourage cyclists to come and use it to repair their bikes for no additional cost.
Central Co-op said it plans to give back and collaborate with the local community, and welcome feedback on the new store.
