Danny O'Brien fell victim to the con artist when he was in Edinburgh for the Fringe.
An award-winning Irish comic says he was 'scammed' by a landlord during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Danny alleges the 'fake landlord' set up a fake profile, answered his advert and sent him photos of a property. However, the stand-up comedian soon found out the flat wasn't for rent. He added: "He left me with 48 hours to find a place to stay to do a month of shows. The Scottish police didn’t want to know and the bank said it would carry out an investigation."
