🚖🔍 Convicted of assaulting an emergency worker, driver gets green light in Lincoln. Discover the full story!
A private hire driver applicant, previously convicted for assaulting an emergency worker, has secured a licence from the City of Lincoln Council's Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Sub-Committee.
"The conviction did not appear on a basic Disclosure Barring Service check, as evidenced by the applicant’s submission at the hearing," the report stated. However, the committee found no valid reasons to refuse the applicant a private hire driver’s licence, citing the minor level of violence, the applicant's calm and apologetic demeanour, and his clean driving record.
