He scored the 16th goal of his career
After netting what ended up being the winning goal for Notts County against Tranmere Rovers, defender Connell Rawlinson spoke about general positive feelings around the club.
The experienced defender netted a rare goal which lifted his side to a third win in four games County have responded well to a difficult opening week of the season. Rawlinson is experienced enough to understand his role in the team moving forward and has shown a commitment to providing whatever he can on and off the field.
“We’re still progressing and trying to get into a flow but the last few games have shown that we can play at the level and I’m happy with where I’m at. The first week has all been forgotten now so I think we can move on and really concentrate on putting points on the board. Williams’ arrival as manager last summer has changed the club’s fortunes for the better with promotion back to the EFL playing visually pleasing football that excites the fanbase. Rawlinson touched on the manager’s influence on the team and how that has positively affected the relationship with the fans.
