Nottingham Forest believe summer signing Murillo is a player with “high potential” as he looks to build on an impressive debut.
Cooper isn’t getting carried away by one eye-catching showing from the Brazilian. However, he is confident that with hard work there is plenty more to come from the centre-back. “For sure, he has high potential. Given opportunities, we hope he takes them. If he does, then let’s see how well he does. Cooper says having a number of Brazilians already at the club “wasn’t a deal-breaker” when it came to signing Murillo, but he admits it has proved helpful. It means the defender has a great support network in place.
