The UK chancellor, Rishi Sunak, has said he hopes to ‘rewire the entire financial system’ to put it to use to protect the climate
Outlining Britain's strategy over the next five years to the Cop26 climate summit, he said the UK would become the world’s first ever net-zero-aligned financial centre. This means companies will have a mandatory duty to set out their pathway to net zero, he has said.
