COPS were called to a school after its head said she would refuse entry to Ofsted in protest. Flora Cooper was making a stand following the death of fellow head teacher Ruth Perry, who killed herse…
Thames Valley Police said: “Officers have been patrolling near John Rankin School in Newbury while a demonstration takes place outside this morning.
“We have a legal obligation to facilitate peaceful protest while also ensuring local residents and parents are able to go about their day with minimal impact.”Liz, who was once mentored by Ruth, said: "There is not a day where I don't think about Ruth and the loss not only obviously to her family but the entire teaching community.
"She didn't just care and dedicate herself to her school and her pupils, she was also a huge support for schools in the Reading area and beyond.Ellen added: "You hear the little stories coming out about what Ruth did when she went above and beyond., calling for the community to join her in protest against Ofsted as she was "doing this for for our school staff everywhere".
"We understand that the inspection process can be a busy and stressful time for teachers, governors and school staff. It doesn't discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society - from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers. And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.
Yet it's rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives.
