The incident happened in Musselburgh in East Lothian this morning, Monday, September 25, at around 5:55am.
A driver has fled the scene of an accident after their car flipped in a 'shocking' crash on a Scots road.
Police said the driver left the area before they arrived and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. An image from the scene shows the car on the back of a recovery truck, with considerable damage to the bodywork and all of the windows smashed.
