The incident happened at around 7.40pm on Friday, September 15, at Craignair Street, near the junction with Port Road, in the Dumfries and Galloway town.
A man who died following a crash in Dalbeattie has been named by police, as they appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
He was named today as 56-year-old Ian Spencer from the Castle Douglas area. Emergency services attended but Ian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Ian at this difficult time. I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to please get in touch.
