Two people have been injured
Fire crews confirmed two people were taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.released a statement following the incident.They wrote:"We were made aware of an explosion involving a gas canister at a food stall in St Enoch Square in Glasgow around 11am on Monday, December 5.
"Emergency services are currently at the scene and the area has been closed off while work is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.Man caught by police dogs after 'trying to break into cars' Howard Street is currently closed, and drivers are being urged to use another route, while access to the car park on Howard Street is available via Jamaica Street.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were called to assist emergency service partners around 11am on Monday, December 5, to reports of a gas explosion within the Christmas Market at St Enoch Square, Glasgow.“Two casualties were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
