The woman's loved ones have not yet been tracked down
Cops have released a detailed description of an unknown woman who is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow city centre.
Extensive enquiries are underway to find out who the woman is so her family can be notified of the incident. Officers say she is aged between 50-60 years old and has shoulder length brown hair, which was tied back. The collision involved two vehicles and a pedestrian. A woman, 28, was arrested in connection with the event but has been released pending enquiries. The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out.
