Police are urging anyone with information to get in touch after confirming the fire was wilful.
A fire that ripped through an abandoned Scots hotel and caused significant damage was set deliberately.
Fire crews battled the inferno overnight, with ten appliances assisting at the scene before it was made safe shortly after 9pm on Friday.
