Police have lifted the cordon around The Lion Pub in Wyle Cop Shrewsbury, claiming the incident has come safely to an end.

But by midnight police were satisfied the threat was not genuine and that the area was safe.West Mercia Police said in a statement:"We would like to thank our officers and supporting emergency services for their help this evening, together with the patience and support of the local community."If any member of the public has any concerns please speak to one of our officers".
