EXCLUSIVE: The Fiz Dobbs actress, 39, shows off her beautiful new baby girl Doris, revealing the reason for the choice of name and teasing more children in the future
The soap star, 39 - who is already mum to son Albert, eight, and four-year-old daughter Hilda - has named the family's latest addition, born almost five months ago, Doris.
Jennie - who plays Fiz Dobbs on the Manchester soap - tells us that both she and restaurant manager Chris played a part in choosing her unusual name. "Doris is a family name and I love that it goes with Albert and Hilda. They’re also all very ‘Corrie’. The actress who played the first Rovers landlady, Annie Walker, was called Doris Speed so there’s obviously something in my DNA that means these baby names keep happening!
"People have said before that Albert and Hilda sound like two childhood sweethearts writing to each other during the war. Now Doris is the aunty who’s come to join them."Jennie and Chris had decided not to find out the gender of their baby before the birth, so two shortlists of girls' and boys' names were drawn up.
