Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews didn't have too much to say after fans witnessed the end of an era which they 'refuse to believe'. During Wednesday night's trip to the cobbles, viewers watched as Weatherfield's most iconic instituon, The Rovers Return, was boarded up.
Luckily, local solicitor Adam Barlow was in the pub at the time and heard everything and offered to see if they had grounds for unfair dismissal. He later returned to speak to Jenny and the Rovers staff, sharing they could fight Waterford's but they would be left footing the costs when they lose their case.
But her shiny new CV, smart attire and five years of experience didn't wash and she was told that she and her staff will never be employed by Waterford's again and if Jenny ever steps foot in the Rovers, they'll call the police. Later, Jenny, Gemma, Glenda, Daisy and Sean were all seen with their bags packed as they posed for a last selfie outside their once home and workplace.
@daisysmidgeley said: "I’m holding onto the assumption she gets it back somehow so she’d BETTER." @CherrieGillian replied: "Don’t go to Thailand - I am hoping there might be some kind of ‘inheritance from Teddy and Leo’ and Jenny is able to buy back the Rovers with that. Fingers crossed." @Silverpie671 added: "Please don't go to Thailand with Stephen."
