Corrie's Peter Barlow star Chris Gascoyne supported as he lands new role Corrie
Coronation Street legend Chris Gascoyne who plays the iconic Peter Barlow in the soap has landed a new role away from the show. Chris has been on the cobbles for 23 years, but he is swapping the street for the theatre in his new job this Christmas.
Taking to Instagram, the arena said: "The Alban Arena are delighted to announce Coronation Street Legend Chris Gascoyne will star as Captain Hook in The All New Adventures of Peter Pan this pantomime season! Chris Gascoyne is famous for his role as Peter Barlow in Britain’s top soap, Coronation Street in which he has led numerous high-profile storylines to great acclaim."
It didn't take long for Corrie fans to pick up on the news and fill the comments section with support. One fan was clearly excited as they commented: "OMG STOP GET YOUR COAT WERE GOING."
