Stephanie joins the cast of Coronation Street as flirty Courtney Vance after taking three years out to raise her son, but she’s more than happy to be back on our screens
The last time Stephanie Davis was on our screens, she was in Hollyoaks playing Sinead O’Connor. Despite her dramatic storylines, Stephanie decided not to return after her temporary exit in 2019.
“So obviously, I took time out to be a mum to my little boy Caben. And I said to my partner [Joseph Mckalroy], ‘look, I need to get back to work, I need to hear it rolling up and action’. I need to do what I love again.” “Everything’s happened so quickly,” she says. “It was my first audition back after three years, my first one. I was like, ‘right send me over the part’. And as soon as I read the brief for the character, I was just like, ‘this is mine’.”
Stephanie has already been filming on the cobbles with the likes of Ryan Early who plays her on-screen husband Darren and Adam Hussain . And Stephanie says it’s been strange not to be with her son every day.
