The Liverpool-born actress has suffered a devastating loss
The singer and actress, 30, is currently enjoying a stint on Coronation Street - a role she said she has been "manifesting" for herself since she was a teenager. Steph, who hails from Liverpool, plays Courtney Vance, a bored housewife in a loveless marriage.
Courtney has been having an affair with Aadi Alahan and they have since fallen in love. Steph's portrayal of Courtney has gone down very well with fans, but away from our screens the star has suffered a heartbreaking loss.READ MORE: Emmerdale fans thrilled as 'Ross Barton' returns to our screens Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, she shared a number of photos of her dog Romie and said: "Today we lost our Romie. Absolutely heartbroken.
"Crazy to see the photo of you with Nan and Grandad. All on the photo now all gone. My favourite photo is the last one with the stick. I'm going to miss you buddy. "Sandy will miss her boyfriend. Dogs aren't pets they're your family. He was ours and always will be. I love you Romie". In a second post Steph shared that she had been to the cathedral to light a candle for Romie.
