Four out of ten said the cost of living crisis has left them struggling to pay rent.
Tenants are finding their rent unaffordable and are worried about rises in the future in a stark new report.
It included many associations putting in place a 7% hike, heaping even more pressure on household budgets.
Nearly two thirds said they have experienced difficulties affording their rent, including 41% who have experienced difficulties in the last year .Campaigners warned that rising rents would lead to more arrears and homelessness. He said: “This is likely to cause a major increase in evictions for rent arrears and therefore exacerbate the homelessness crisis.
