Nottinghamshire County Council has said it "cannot repair all roads immediately" after confirming it would fix a Nottinghamshire road labelled "embarrassing" due to it being riddled with pot-holes. .
The authority's highways boss defended the County Council over claims the repairs had taken too much time, stating "with almost 3000 miles of roads to maintain, we cannot repair all the county’s roads immediately and we need to prioritise." But Mr Martin, county councillor for Selston, claimed public money would have been saved if the problem was addressed with a more long-term solution when it was first reported.
