It is not known when the park will re-open
A playpark in Kirkintilloch has had to be closed by East Dunbartonshire Council after recent vandalism has made the equipment unsafe.
The damage is still to be fully-assessed, and only then can decisions about repairs and the park's potential re-opening be discussed.The council said: "Unfortunately, we have been forced to close Merkland Play Park in Kirkintilloch following vandalism to the large multi-play unit. The damage is so severe that the equipment now presents a danger to children.
