A dream lies in tatters thanks to the actions of a few yobs
A couple have been forced to leave a historic pub they called home for four years following persistent attacks from yobs.
They say the damage the troublemakers have caused has cost them between £15,000 and £20,000, and the attacks have put a massive strain on their mental health, which has resulted in their decision to leave the beloved Union Road based pub in June. The trouble began on October 8 last year, when vandals smashed seven of the pub’s windows and the front screen and side window of Danielle’s blue Ford Fiesta after the couple had just got back from holiday.
“The community kindly raised money for a defibrillator but can’t put that outside of the pub because they’ll vandalise it.
