Lauren and James Austin, both 31, are now fundraising to try and make their dreams of becoming a mum and dad a reality
A young Scots couple have opened up on the heartbreak of losing a baby as they continue to fight to extend their family through IVF.
The couple paid for a fourth round out of their own pocket but were again unable to conceive. This has left the loving pair to try to raise money for a fifth round in order to realise their dream of becoming parents. “In 2017, we started trying to conceive, however we were faced with difficulty. After seeing doctors and having various tests we were dealt the card of infertility due to myself having polycystic ovarian syndrome and my husband having male factor infertility.
“We are both devastated that for some people having a baby comes so easy, and that with us we are facing this heartache on top of financial difficulties. Not only are we still struggling, we are forever grieving the miracle baby we were so blessed with after our first round of IVF. So far she has managed to raise £1,000 towards the roughly £14,000 cost of IVF treatment. She asked for any donation, large or small, to be made to help the couple in their quest for a baby.
