The UK has reported another 31,914 coronavirus cases and 40 deaths, according to the latest daily figures. Meanwhile, 41.81 million people have now received two doses of a COVID19 vaccine. Get live updates:

The figures compare to the 28,438 newOn Sunday, there were 32,253 new cases recorded and 49 people were reported to have died within 28 days of a positive test.

Latest data also shows that the number of people admitted to hospital with coronavirus has reached an August high. The number of people admitted on 17 August - the latest figures available - was 948, the highest since 22 July.
