Eris is now the secondmost prevalent Covid strain in the UK
Hundreds of thousands of people in the UK have reportedly caught a new strain of Covid that's spreading rapidly.
The increase in case numbers is thought to be down to the weather, as well as more people gathering together indoors. However, hospital admission rates remain low, according to the UK Health Security Agency . Dr Mary Ramsay, Head of Immunisation at the UKHSA stated: “We continue to see a rise in Covid-19 cases in this week’s report.
