'Lashing it down here is an understatement'
Festivalgoers were still arriving at the Daresbury site and setting up camp on the third day of the festival when they were hit by a downpour. The rain was described as 'biblical', and video taken by an ECHO photographer showed the heavy downpour hammering the muddy ground.
One person at the festival said: "Lashing it down here is an understatement." However, the downpour only lasted around ten minutes.Updating readers of the ECHO's live blog on everything Creamfields, reporter Alice Walker said: "Rain at Creamfields came down strong but now seems to have stopped for a while - worth noting that umbrellas are not allowed inside."One person at the festival reported seeing what he mistook for a 'tornado' forming above the festival site.
The ECHO put together an hour by hour Creamfields weather forecast. This evening the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, though there is some chance of rain and even hail according to the Met Office.
