Crowds packed the streets to enjoy the colourful procession, which took place after Storm Betty had blown across the region.
Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities chairman, John Blaikie, said: “It was brilliant, despite all the weather we kept getting worried about.“We had a really good crowd on the street and there were plenty of entries. It was a great parade.”Kirkcudbright Prince Adam Gourlay was driven in an Alvis by Derek Smith, with the parade also featuring Kirkcudbright and District Pipe Band and Dunaskin Doon Silver Band.
