The tragic incident took place on Island Lane near Winmarleigh on January 2 and the man in his 80s later died in hospital
A pensioner has died after the wheel on a bike he was riding got stuck in a crack in the road in Wyre.
Police said he was thrown off the bike after the front wheel became lodged in a crack in the road surface. The man suffered serious injuries and died later in hospital.Police are investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for information. They are particularly keen to speak to a woman who stopped to give first aid at the scene.
