A cyclist was rushed to hospital after being seriously assaulted by two men in Irvine on Saturday afternoon
. The 30-year-old man was cycling along Rivergate in Saltcoats around 4.15pm when he was attacked by two thugs.
The first suspect is described as being white and in his early twenties. He was wearing black trousers, a black t-shirt and a dark-coloured baseball cap. Detective Constable Stevie Williams said: “Our investigation into this incident is continuing and officers have been carrying out enquiries and gathering CCTV footage.
