Wow. There are beds... and then there are beds
A dad who spent just £500 building his little girl her dream bed - complete with two floors - has revealed she was "over the moon" with the finished product.
Last Christmas the 38-year-old promised his four-year-old daughter Everleigh that he would build her a "dream bed" and set about gathering the materials. The dad-of-four, who studied building construction at Accrington and Rossendale College, dedicated all his spare time to the sideline project and this month unveiled the bed to Everleigh.Everleigh's 'bed' comes with a downstairs shop/play area while the sleeping quarters are housed in the upstairs.
Steven decorated Everleigh's home with Frenchic paint which has gone viral on social media due to its hard-wearing finish and range of bright, fun colours ideal for children's furniture and toys. The chalk and mineral paints have featured in dozens of national newspapers and home furnishing magazines.
Through his joinery firm, Howard Homes, Steven builds bespoke furniture including everything from indoor 'phone boxes', built-in media walls, walk-in wardrobes and summer houses. He shares pictures of his creations on his Facebook page and a post showing off Everleigh's bed attracted hundreds of likes and comments.
