A man who was found dumped on a street covered in ‘potentially hazardous’ substances had been shot and attacked with acid, police have revealed.
Liam Smith, 38, was discovered on a residential street at around 7pm on Thursday in Shevington, a suburb of Wigan, GreaterGreater Manchester Police has launched a murder inquiry into the ‘unique and shocking circumstances’.
No further information about the substances has been released, but the Home Office has carried out a post-mortem examination.
