Tragic Grace Handling's father Stewart believes anyone who supplies drugs with a lethal consequence should face a lengthy period behind bars.

The dad of an ecstasy death teen has called for convicted drug dealers to face at least 10 years in prison after two 18-year-olds died following a rave in Glasgow last weekend.

Marcus Dick, from Coatbridge, and Scott Allison, from Cumbernauld, were formally identified by Police Scotland on Thursday. The force has confirmed they are treating both deaths as ‘drug related’. “Dealers are still getting away with ruining lives and escaping any real punishment. I hope the police will be able to gather enough evidence for a prosecution but we’ll just have to wait and see.

“If a person sells drugs with a lethal consequence, they should face at least 10 years behind bars. That should be enough time for them to change and to deter others. “Yes they need to make money but the welfare of young people should always be a priority. The police also need to make it a priority to catch these dealers. It’s all fair and well sitting back and gathering intelligence, but people are dying.”
