Brendan Halliwell had been reported missing after failing to turn up for work
Brendan Halliwell was reported missing by his partner Sharon Moore on May 11 this year after he left their home in Brierfield but failed to turn up for work. The sheet metal worker, who was born in Burnley, had previously indicated he was planning on ending his life and police treated his disappearance as a high risk case.
Reading from a statement by Brendan's partner Sharon, Area Coroner Chris Long said: "Brendan was living with his partner in Brierfield and approximately a month prior she had found [items] and when she asked Brendan about it he admitted he had been considering suicide."
