A dad has blasted Asda after claiming his son was allowed to buy a £2 scratchcard - despite being nine years below the legal age limit.
Asda apologised and said an investigation was launched following the incident. But James said he is unsatisfied with the supermarket's actions - and wants a clear explanation. The pair visited the supermarket on the evening of August 20. Ronnie was off shopping and didn't realise his son had made the purchase until he came over and said: "This is for you Dad."
James said there was a big queue on the evening of the incident so he made his complaint at their next trip on August 29. He said: "I was told it would be taken incredibly seriously by the manager who called the day after I made my complaint. He said it would be a couple of days max before I heard back.
