'Danger to life' as Storm Freya hits UK this weekend
A yellow weather warning of a"danger to life" has been issued for parts of the UK as the Met Office confirms Storm Freya is set to hit this weekend.
The next named storm will make landfall on Sunday, bringing heavy winds, traffic disruption, and possible dangerous conditions. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, which states there could be a danger to life from flying debris,"damage to buildings and trees, such as tiles blown from roofs and fallen branches", and disruption to road, rail, air and ferry services.The warning adds:"Injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties.
The warning covers Wales, the north of England and the South West of England and will be in place from 3pm on Sunday until 6am on Monday.
