One of Josh's first memories is of playing Quake 2 on the family computer when he was much too young to be doing that, and he's been irreparably game-brained ever since. His writing has been featured in Vice, Fanbyte, and the Financial Times. He'll play pretty much anything, and has written far too much on everything from visual novels to Assassin's Creed. His most profound loves are for CRPGs, immersive sims, and any game whose ambition outstrips its budget. He thinks you're all far too mean about Deus Ex: Invisible War.
The result was what I can only describe as a kind of anti-Brewster's Millions scenario: DementedEnjoyer was forced—by themself—to wonder The Lands Between with bulging pockets, completely unable to spend a cent until their journey's conclusion. Also, they could only use a bow, which wasn't part of the original Brewster's Millions but probably would have made it way better.
But tragedy ensued. DementedEnjoyer had made good progress, but a couple of days after accepting their challenge they posted a grim"final update". They'd tried so hard, and got so far, but an attempt at a corpse run to recover their 10 million ended inevitably as some clever platforming gave way to sharp drop and a sudden stop.
