The Celtic B team coach is set to remain at Parkhead having been granted permission to speak to Caley Thistle.
Darren O’Dea has pulled out of the running for the Inverness job. Caley Thistle had been granted permission to speak to the Celtic B team coach last week.
The Irishman, however, took time to consider his position and has decided to remain at Celtic. O’Dea didn’t speak to the Scottish Championship club despite the fact an interview was scheduled for the next 24 hours. A source close to O’Dea stated: “Darren was flattered by the approach but it isn’t something he is interested in at this point and has taken himself out of the running.
Former Hibs and Sunderland No. 2 Jamie McAllister is one of those names who is under consideration as they work their way through the interview process. Morton boss Dougie Imrie also has many admirers at his former club in the Highlands.
