Murderer Faheem Younis has been listed for sentencing tomorrow over the stabbing of Darren Davis in Radford. His case is listed for sentencing, coincidentally on the anniversary of the cold-blooded murder, with Laney Aikens 40, of Denman Street Central, Radford.
Aikens was found guilty of assisting an offender after he dumped the murder weapon down a drain. Both were found guilty after a trial at Nottingham Crown Court. Judge Nirmal Shant KC, the Recorder of Nottingham, will sentence them at a hearing listed for half a day. Mr Davis died despite desperate attempts by medics to save him on the pavement, before he was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he was pronounced dead.His daughter, Kel-c Lauryn Davis, told Nottinghamshire Live after the verdicts: "He was a character. Everyone loved him".
"I know he wasn't perfect, what with his drugs," she said. "But probably for the past two to three years, we were so close. We got on so well".
