The judge says David Carrick poses a"high risk of serious sexual harm" to the public.
The judge describes one of David Carrick's victims as a"vulnerable woman" and his relationship with her as"exploitative". Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb says Carrick"charmed" one victim before becoming"aggressive" and pinning her to the bed when he tried to rape her. Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb says Carrick was involved in"brutal, controlling and coercive relationships" with women and took"monstrous advantage" of his victims."You behaved as if you were untouchable," the judge adds.The judge says Carrick faces"the prospect of a difficult time in custody for many years".David Carrick has entered the dock at Southwark Crown Court for his sentencing.
It is due to last 90 minutes. In the first half the judge will review the evidence, which will be"pretty grim listening" and go into details of the worst of the attacks.
