The two actors were much loved as their iconic BBC Only Fools and Horses characters, brothers Del Boy and Rodney Trotter but they aren't as close as they once were.
It’s one of the most-loved and iconic comedies of UK TV. An astounding four decades after it first hit screens, Only Fools and Horses holds as special a place in the heart of most telly viewers as it ever did.
The show followed the pair through the hilarious escapades of their lives, the highs and lows of their reality in a south east London high rise and their attempts to get rich. The 82-year-old actor told the Mirror: "He's much more, how can I say, self-contained, perhaps, than he used to be. So, unfortunately, we don't see each other as much as I'd like to. But that's how things work out sometimes.”
Only Fools and Horses' 1996 Christmas Special Time On Our Hands drew in a huge audience of 24.3 million viewers, making it the most watched British sitcom at the time. The series has also led to a West End musical spin-off.
