Heather James, the mother of the late Dame Deborah James has poignantly given her son-in-law her blessing to find love again, 10 months on since Deborah's tragic loss to cancer
As the world edges closer to marking the one year anniversary since Dame Deborah James tragically lost her battle with bowel cancer, her mother Heather has now given her blessing to Deborah’s husband to find love again in the wake of her passing.
One of Deborah’s final wishes was to die at her parents home, surrounded by her loved ones, which included her husband Sebastien Bowen and their two children, Hugo, 15, and Eloise, 13. “Deborah will be a hard act to follow, but he has our blessing. Because Deborah wanted him to move on, we want him to move on.”
In an interview with The Times, Deborah candidly revealed: “I have given him strict instructions: I want him to move on. He’s a handsome man, I’m, like ‘Don’t be taken for a ride, don’t marry a bimbo, find someone else who can make you laugh like we did.”
