Touching tributes have been paid by a primary school and boxing club to a "deeply loved" eight-year-old boy who died after being hit by a van.
"Layton was deeply loved by all of our school community and will be missed immensely by everyone who's lives he touched. He was always full of energy and enthusiasm and had a smile that could light up a room. Trainers at the club, in Campbell Street, have since paid tribute to Layton who they described as a "loveable rogue" who was "always making everyone laugh".
"As you can imagine we’re all absolutely heartbroken, Layton was a loveable rogue who all of the kids shared fond memories with. He was always making everyone laugh and had a great talent for Thai boxing. His cheeky laugh will be forever in our memories, and he will always have a special place in our hearts.
