A lorry struck a Nottinghamshire bridge and became stuck under a low bridge. Shortly before 3pm on Monday, September 26, a lorry struck the bridge on Stapleford Road, Trowell and became struck.
Stapleford Fire Station stated in a post on Facebook that they were aware of the situation, but were not in attendance. They warned drivers to expect delays in both directions during the early afternoon, and the road has since been cleared. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to Stapleford Road in Trowell at 14.58pm today following reports of a lorry becoming stuck under a bridge. The lorry was recovered a short time later and the road is now clear.”
