Police have launched an investigation

Police are appealing for witnesses after thousands of pounds worth of belongings were stolen from a house near Chorley.

Anderton. During the robbery, several thousand pounds worth of designer handbags, jewellery and shoes were stolen. It is believed that the crime happened on either October 4 or 5. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police.A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house on Bolton Road, Anderton in which several thousand pounds worth of designer handbags, jewellery and shoes were stolen on either the 4th or 5th October.
