It's been a long wait - 30 years to be exact! - but Cleethorpes is set to get direct trains to London again 🚅
Hopes for a long-awaited return of a direct Cleethorpes to London train route have been bolstered by an LNER test run from the coastal station.
This morning , London North Eastern Railway sent out an Azuma train on a test run from Cleethorpes to check for any potential issues before the London service is rolled out. It has been over 30 years since there was last a direct Cleethorpes to London route via train. Photo: R.S. Mortiss
