🔴 Disabled passengers have lost train seat options after operator Southeastern scrapped first-class carriages to free up room for standard ticketholders, charities have claimed
passengers say it will make train travel even harder and could mean some are left unable to travel by rail entirely.
While train operators including Southeastern signpost priority seats in standard class for those unable to stand, passengers who require them often find them occupied. “Living with MS is relentless, painful and disabling and many people need a guaranteed seat in order to travel – often these are full in standard class or not available to book,” said Ms Berry.
