He was heard to say words similar to: “You can’t tell me what to do you p*** b******.”
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that Mr Singh engaged in conversation with Docherty.He went on to ask the security member if he was from India or Pakistan.Due to Docherty being aggressive, another security guard called for Mr Singh to return and assist.
Docherty, of Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, was later arrested.Brian Cooney, defending, told the court: “He offers his apologies to the victim in this case.“He is ashamed to have acted in this manner.”He was also ordered to pay Mr Singh £200 compensation.“He should not be subjected to racist abuse from you.”
