They've had enough

A Leeds couple who complained about flights getting "nosier and earlier", and more frequent, from Leeds Bradford Airport have have been backed by a formal complaint with more residents under the flight path raising their concerns.

Married couple Steve and Jane Haworth, 69 and 65 respectively, based in Cookridge on a street just off Tinshill Road, complained to Leeds Live about an increased frequency of flights in September.Steve said: “It’s getting a bit noisier and the flights are going a bit longer into the night than they used to be. We’re getting earlier flights as well. My wife in particular get disturbed in the early morning with the flights waking her up.

More residents on Tinshill Road have since voiced their concerns. Sarah Fryer, who has lived there for two years, said: "When you live here, you don't notice the noise as much as you get used to it. Joe, who didn't want his last name published and who's lived there for seven years, said: "No one should break the rules and if they're breaking the rules, it's clearly upsetting people in the area then they're not serving the community.
